What is the MyWill Registry? The MyWill Registry is a free service for testators to state in the registry where their wills are kept. This will make it easier for executors and family members to save time to locate the Will for probate purposes.
Who can use this service? Anyone who has written a will, regardless of whether it was drafted by either a lawyer, a trust company, Rockwills or others.
Do I need to submit a copy of my will? No, MyWill Registry does not store the original or copy of your will because it only records the location where your will is kept.
Who can search for my will’s location? Only the family members you have explicitly authorised in your registration can perform a search. They must provide their Name, NRIC/Passport, Hand Phone and/or Email Address, which must match your records.
How will my family members receive the search results? The results will be emailed to the family member’s provided email address for security and record-keeping, after verification.
What if I update my will? You should log in to the Registry and update your latest will’s location and date of your will to ensure your family members access your latest will.
How can I name family members authorised to do a search? You can state their names, NRIC/Passport No., Handphone No. and Email Address in MyWill Registry.
Can I change or remove authorised family members? Yes, you can update or remove family members from your authorisation list at any time in MyWill Registry.
